Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels. O you who believe, send your blessing upon him and ask Allah to grant him peace – Surah Al Ahzab
Allah swt has commanded us to send our blessings on His beloved RasoolAllah SAW.
Even our beloved Prophet has told us to ‘Increase your recitation of salawat on me on Friday because on this day the Angels present themselves to me. There is no servant of Allah who recites salawat upon me, except that his voice reaches me from wherever he is.’ Narrated by Abu Darda
You see, RasoolAllah SAW doesn’t really want our money, our status, our property or our qualifications… he wants us to gift him salawat he wants to hear our voices.
We often forget, and possibly underestimate, the importance of sending salawat to RasoolAllah SAW. This is a form of ibadah in which you are granted 10 good deeds and 10 bad deeds are erased… so why don’t we do it enough?
Coincidently… it is Friday so inshAllah take some extra steps to send blessings upon the Prophet SAW.
